Military Records & Genealogy

Monday, April 20, 7:00-8:00pm, Room A/B

Military records, especially military pension records, can be an excellent place to find genealogical information. Through them, you can often find information such as a birthplace, age at enlistment, occupation, and names of immediate family members. Finding those records can be a challenge for even the most skilled researcher.

Join Mark Mullinax, Genealogy and Local History Librarian at Brighton District Library, as he explains the different types of military records, what information those records contain, where military records can be found, and more. The program is directed at both beginning and intermediate genealogists. Registration begins Monday, April 6.
